Audi A4 sedan will be rolling out in India from Audi India. This new generation model was recently launched in Europe and now it is being brought to India simultaneously. Initially the car will be imported but will carry the price of a locally assembled car.
Mitsubishi Motors will be also rolling out its luxury sedan, the Lancer Evolution X by early 2009. This would mean that the price of the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X will be very high. The price of Lancer Evolution X is priced close to Rs 12.5 lakh globally. But with the imposed duties on import, cost may go up to Rs 22.70 - Rs 24.5 lakh.
Ferrari one of the big car brands is expected to hit Indian roads by 2010 and this decision was taken after the Magic India Discovery tour. After the thorough study of the Indian market, Ferrari decided to enter in the Indian car market very soon.
May be, the growing demand prompted style guru, Dilip Chabria to showcase his super luxury concept car "Amberoid" that was displayed recently held Auto Expo in New Delhi. It was the most expensive car costing Rs 4 crore. All those super rich people who like to own a part of Ambassador will surely like buy one of them. It could be India’s answer for super luxury cars. Amby is adorned with a sleek instrument panel backed by a satellite navigation system, three LCD televisions, rear vision camera, Internet and videoconferencing-enabled flat bed, and a flat bend to sleep during long journey and multi-coloured mood lighting now this is what we call it as a royal ride!
The old player’s luxury car making like BMW and Mercedes-Benz have a great competition and always challenge each other in the sales performance. BMW has increased its luxury car sales target to 2000 units this year. Those are the famed BMW M cars and BMW Individual cars and BMW 7-series.
Mercedes Benz needs no introduction in the India. It has launched the super luxury CL and S class vehicles in India this year. The manufacturer of Mercedes vehicles- Daimler Chrysler plans to sell 3000 units in 2008 only.
